Light Cotton Jacket, Matching Design No Pattern

  This was a lovely gift of two yards of fabric from my friend who went to Bali. I am proud of how I figured it out and also I had the perfect button hooks to match the fabric, wasting away in my button sewing box. It was a 2 yard piece of fabric with dark blue background and gold metallic design. When it was finished I took the scraps and made a mask and earrings.  Used every inch of this fabric. I needed something lightweight and cotton, so I picked up the piece and examined the print.  It had some lovely design that was in columns I could use for borders, but I could see it would take work to cut it out. The selvage was a nice print of gold, that I didn't want to lose.  I laid out the whole piece of fabric and figured how I could cut the front pieces and the back piece on a fold and utilize the border strips. Everyone needs a Hibiscus Free Flowing Jacket

  This is a true hibiscus or Rose of Sharon flower Free Flowing jacket.  As you can see as usual I paired a scarf of the leftover fabric with a scarf of the leftover slinky knit in red. To Look together your outfits can have a catchy pair of earrings, a scrunchy or braided fabric bracelet. I love this jacket with the feathers on it.  I satin stitched the edges of the chiffon jacket to give the simple appearance of serging. I believe the red slinky knit pullover with the red slinky knit pants are catchy with any jacket that has a spot of red. I made this slinky knit top to wear with the feather outfit .The other day.   Now with the new free flowing jacket, I have added slinky knit palazzo pants.    Note the bottom of the palazzo pants has a cuff to add length to my tops of my shoes.  I love the slink of these pants and they have nice pockets and a drawstring added to the elastic waste. What is Kitty Doing?.....Tiny stitch hand quilting...Traponto

IMPOSSIBLE UNDERTAKING...SOMEONE STOP ME I was given this fabric that was already sewn into a Queen size top by sewing three pieces together Could I make it into a 5x5 childs quilt? Simple enough, but then it would be so nice it if the characters were 3 D.... In  my mind...Sure,  I could do that... UH Somebody stop me... that was over 2 weeks ago and I have worked on it every waking moment...  Fabric...cut to size  2 pieces..front and back Muslin and batting...cut same size... Sew on batting and muslin to the piece for the top Outline each figure through the sandwich and slice behind the figures and then stuff and hand stitch opening shut... Top  done... uhoh... how to sew the back on.... Two pieces together and then sew on the binding... now Hand quilt each figure First of all you need the right tools....
